Ideally located in the Lambourn valley home of the racehorse. The Old Iron House is only a short drive from Newbury and Cheltenham racecourses. 

 

On the doorstep are stunning walks on the rolling Berkshire downs and the historic ridgeway within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Eating out

Opposite is the renowned Plough pub one of the many high quality pubs and restaurants in the area. There are numerous golf courses, sporting activities and many ancient landmarks to explore such as The White Horse in Uffington.

Bespoke Service

Many rural activities to be discovered that cater to all ages and tastes. We offer a concierge service to tailor your stay, with available chauffeurs, in house massage, chef and much more. These will need to be booked 48 hours prior to your arrival. You let us know what your interests are and we will happily customise your retreat.

Directions

  • From the M4 exit at junction 14 and take the road to Wantage. 

  • You will reach the village of Great Shefford.

  • Pass the pub on your right and take a left turn towards East Garston and Lambourn. 

  • Go past the village of East Garston and you will arrive in Eastbury.

  • Drive through the village until you see the Plough pub on your right and on your left a small bridge with a large thatch barn.

  • Come over the bridge and you have arrived, the entrance gate will be on your right.
